About me and what I'm looking for
I am an eternal optimist who is quick to laugh and tries to find the good in any situation. I like to be silly, but also appreciate conversations of depth. I love children and animals, and am the type of person who will catch a bug and let it outside. I am extremely loyal, loving and honest. I have a Psychology degree and spent several years as a 5th grade teacher before getting into real estate. Music I like: Rolling Stones, Nick Drake, Bright Eyes, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Norah Jones, The Beatles, Death Cab for Cutie, The Shins, Belle and Sebastian, Elliott Smith, earlier Michael Jackson, lots of 80's tunes, The Kinks ... I would LOVE it if I found a guy who knew and liked a lot of the same artists ... I have a theory that you can tell a LOT about a person by their music, movie and shoe choices. On that note - if you have trendy, cute sneakers and/or Birkenstocks / Tevas, you are probably right up my alley! My favorite movies: Annie Hall, Lost in Translation, The Graduate, Harold and Maude, Rushmore, Garden State, Zoolander, She's Having a Baby, Dazed and Confused, Magnolia. I do have a 'type' that I am very attracted to (chemistry and attraction are so important) ... I am a sucker for tall (5'10" or above), slender men with full heads of hair and beautiful eyes (long lashes really get me!). I am attracted to liberal hippie/earthy/hipster types who are fun-loving, well read, intelligent, silly and have good jobs. You are charismatic, affectionate, loyal and have a strong sense of self. You already have a stable job, great friends and a happy, full life. You probably live in Central or South Austin. You have had healthy long-term relationships before and can actually say you are friends with some of your exes. You are adventuresome and creative, and truly love life. You are an "old soul" who isn't afraid of commitment and would very much like to find a life partner and have kids when the timing is right. I have kitties, so my match can't be allergic to them. Currently I'm reading 'Jitterbug Perfume' by Tom Robbins - like his books a lot. Also a J.D. Salinger fan. I've recently been reading a lot of non-fiction: Feng-Shui and Real Estate books.
